@NMRspectroscopy@dbfulton I recently saw a more extreme version of this in a pyridinium N-H triplet, whose peaks initially appeared closer to a 1:2:1 triplet, but upon (admittedly a very approximate) integration were ~1:1:1.
Gabriella, our year 12 summer placement student from London Academy of Excellence (LAET), has so far successfully recrystallised NBS and set up her weekend reaction!
“I actually feel like a chemist” - she’s doing great! 🌟

Kinetic profiling reveals all: The first report of inhibition by Br+ ion by-products in an asymmetric intermolecular alkene bromofunctionalization reaction. Check out the new work in #JOrgChem from Braddock and colleagues https://t.co/AAkjgnjnot
Really nice article on our work by @h_dunning. We used SIM cards but you can also use printed circuit boards, printer cartridges etc. to make catalytically-active gold complexes thanks to the technique pioneered by our collaborator Angela Serpe @univca!
Absolutely delighted to receive the @RoyalSocChem Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson Award! Fantastic to have our research on biological sensing of CO recognised and my heartfelt thanks to all the talented researchers in the @JWElab@impchemistry who made it possible!
@JWElab@EPSRC_CDT_React@impchemistry Hopefully readers will find our review ‘Strategies for sustainable palladium catalysis’ useful - looking forward to what’s to come on this topic! https://t.co/0NIHFAyDCc
Wouldn't it be great to have a completely bioderived replacement for PET plastic? Well, PEF does exist but we still need a viable process. @DrAmirAlGhatta, with us @impchemistry and @HallettGroup@ImperialChemEng suggests how this might be done @green_rsc https://t.co/SxPdmj8Gzc
Work involving Rian Hendley @ImagingCDT on the imaging of CO and viscosity changes in @angew_chem (https://t.co/uX2DWuTPDI) has been highlighted in @cenmag (https://t.co/teMlXTA1Dv). Not a bad first paper, Rian!
Really excited to share my first ever paper which has just been published in Polymer Chemistry! 😄
Thank you to everyone involved with this project. @CJSerpell@H_J_Shepherd@ClarkGroupChem@Sean_McCarthy96

Congratulations Hannah, Il-Chul, Nicolas & Susie on their @InorgChem paper showing that restricted internal motion leads to increase in MRI contrast. Continuing @ImagingCDT collaboration: @impchemistry and Rene Botnar & Graeme Stasiuk @KingsImaging https://t.co/cm3MKow4ua
@OxPhil_Marianne Yes you did! I was at the responsible research retreat at Cumberland lodge. I had a fantastic time and especially enjoyed your talks, thanks a lot!
Very happy to say that my illustrated Schlenk line chemistry guide is finally online! Please share with your friends/colleagues/students and let me know what you think!
