I honestly can't tell. So many interesting things, but it also seems like "too much" AI.

My personal experience.

When Apple 1000% sold me on Apple care was my MacBook got a CD stuck in it. I didn’t have an appointment they made the time for me they took it. They said it would be like a couple of weeks. Got it back in a less than a week and pretty a new computer inside - minus battery.

Not getting to Quality issues but 1st gen MacBook.

Yes, but that’s not the point. You don’t know what you’re going to get with Apple you know what you’re gonna get. You roll the dice is really the thing when you go to a local shop.

That’s not to say the shops aren’t better because there’s some stuff Apple will not touch the shops will do and we’ll do it for cheaper, but you just have to find the shops, but it goes back to the concept of what is your time worth?

Think I figured out how Apple "wins AI".
HW powerful enough to run good enough LLM.
Provide custom mcp/tooling interface for apps for said LLM and seamlessly communication. Hard requests dispatch to server.

TTS + Siri recognition will need to be amazing.

@MonkeysDoCode @JLarky PHP performance is not an issue. If it becomes one, you have built a $50m+ product and then you have other problems. PHP performance is probably the least of it. DB, caching, etc.

BootCamp: M1, I remember hearing they tried. MS ARM(very bad att) and MS didn’t want to help.

Not a bad choice:considering how bad it still is with dedicated products; compatibility nightmare!Makes no sense.

With NEO and poor Windows 11 it’s an opportunity to Mac OS X to increase share, so probably not.
