@Draft2Digital hey guys, I’ve emailed multiple times. Need an answer to a couple of very straightforward questions. Can you please get back to me. New customer. This is not a good look for you.
@TheMaineWonk Obama may have had some of the pigmentation, but calling him “African American” is a stretch. “Hope and Change”. Right. You’re not much of a thinker are you?
@dasukocho@NRNRNH0Gh2@RadioGenoa No, they are demanding attention…stealing it, actually, and providing nothing worthwhile in return. Gyrating in what looks to be a sacred space, clearly unconcerned about the peace of others or the significance of the space. It’s obnoxious.
@dasukocho@NRNRNH0Gh2@RadioGenoa Um, it’s incongruous, distorted, bizarre? It’s like you’re asking me to explain how red is red. One thing it absolutely is not, is charming.
@thingsbrandosay@Devlinside123@AnimarchyYT Then they can fix it gradually if we’re going to stay with this archaic system: People born in 2020 have to work until whatever. They can’t change it in front of those who’ve already made plans.
They need to figure out something, but not moving it past 62, which is when I plan to retire. Lol. It needs a structural overhaul, but my bet is that it will all be rolled into some national UBI program. The whole system (much of which was built 80+ years ago) needs thoughtful and fair reconsideration.
No, it’s definitely not a low IQ lack of understanding - it’s about principle. They can’t move the goalposts like that…it is incumbent on the government (that is supposed to serve us) to find a solution within the framework. 62 is the year we have all agreed upon. If they break the rules, we all need our money back…with interest.
You’d be surprised how little going from a low cost area makings $70k to a high cost area making $150k changes things. You’re marginally better off, but by no means wealthy. Plus, for the job, you need nicer clothes, car, etc. Sure, you could still live like a monk, but you won’t fit in. Anyway, my whole point was that the OP framed it as top ten percent and top ten percent isn’t that much. Maybe top 5% are wealthy in the way we consider wealth, but $180 is at best mid upper middle.
@transraven332@SBS0311 I don’t want to get rid of it either! I just wanted to show that the bar in the plan was $180k. I thought top 10% would be much higher…but it’s essentially solid middle class in most places. Surely there’s a better way to fix it.
