@KirkSpano @TheChiefNerd This is the question. What medical director for team USA would clear an athlete who supposedly “ruptured her ACL”. Why would you not send in the alternate. Are we to believe that a 41yo with a ruptured ACL has a better chance than an alternate? This was selfish, not courageous.

@PhilosophyOfPhy I believe we might be according to the Fermi Paradox. And, given the recent world events and growing global tensions, AI, etc. the “great filter” discussed in the paradox is ahead of us and, picking up speed.
