Hello.
My family needs your help.
As a matter of urgency we are asking for help that we cannot find from a broken system - so we are reluctantly doing a fundraiser. We are not used to asking for help for ourselves. So you can imagine what it took to ask for help in this way.
Rest assured we are in contact with the local authority and other relevant organisations, and as parents we are experienced in supporting others - we work in the social justice and grant funding fields - but as we all know, the web of systems to navigate is complex and often not able to offer the right help at the right time. This is the case here.
For anyone able to donate to this fundraiser, we’d be grateful. Perhaps you might share this post and encourage others to donate too?
It’s hard for many at the moment.
This is a way of doing something tangible and good that will be transformative for a family. Now, and in the long term.
The kindness of strangers is key to reach this fundraising target.
Thank you.
X Mum to a family in need.

This is my son Max, we lost Max in a tragic car accident on the 11th December 2024. A life long Liverpool fan, can anyone please share and see if we can get 1 minutes applause at the next home game versus Man Utd in the 17th minute

the whole idea that small fees are an influence on behaviour quite obviously only applies to people for whom small fees aren't actually small fees, but a significant financial deterrent. be more honest to say you believe 'we need to make poor people go to their gp less.'
It would have been my dad's birthday today. I remember him buying me sweets and me asking if he was sure, he said, 'what's a life, if it isn't worth living'. He died when he was 41. He was laid back, funny and utterly appalled by Thatcher. Do the right thing this week #ToriesOut
I am not sure if anyone cares
what a 27 year old with autism
and special needs has to say,
but I want to help inspire others.
I lost both my parents when
I was 19. I was attacked
and bullied.
But it hasn’t broken me.
Can you retweet this
if you care what I have to say?
@butwhatifitsall @NarcAware @dem_cath @RichardJMurphy This is it exactly. People were swooning last week over his Sky News interview when he was talking about his dad. Ok, fair enough. But keep it in perspective. The Krays loved their mum.
The late Bob Hoskins and Roy Kinnear perform The Dumb Waiter - a long lost radio play.
Sunday 24th of March at 15:00 on Radio 4. (I’ve heard it. It’s brilliant)

I was very moved by this. Keir Starmer talking about his relationship with his father and how it impacted him
“I probably should addressed that before he passed. I wish I had. But I didn’t.”
