@painmednews I remember reading this study. The patients that had these shock boxes implanted in their body DID NOT reduce their long term pain medications at all. They continued to require opioid pain medication before/after shock box install & pain scores didn’t come down. Total failure
I have over 600,000 who follow me on social media
I cannot find 200 to tell me the spinal cord stimulator has improved their quality of life.
One law firm reports 80,000 deaths associated with the spinal cord stimulator
Pain Medicine News should be reported for spreading misinformation and unproven claims
@painmednews I couldn’t walk to the bathroom for 10 days after my last nerve ablation on my low back due to increased pain and loss of strength in both legs. That sure seemed like a long time since I normally walk fine. Made my pain worse not better.
@VinoNStrosGal Been on same dosage 12 years. I’ve rotated muscle relaxer & breakthrough meds 2-3 times in that time. Still extremely effective for my severe pain.
@hotbots@jasonlewris@grok The numbers sound close, but what Grok leaves out is it’s almost impossible to find an insurer willing to write policies on homes on the tiny strip of land these houses sit on…at any cost.
@jasonlewris I live in this county, the strip of land on A1A is so skinny every Nor’easter and Hurricane that comes by they lose 2-4 houses into the Atlantic on the same strip of beach. Beautiful area you can see the ocean while driving on A1A still. Many can’t get insurance on those homes.
@seanstaug@CMerandi I run a non- profit harm reduction organization. At first people didn’t know what Narcan was, then they did and wanted it, now everyone has it and I can’t give it away. I have piles of it.
@CMerandi I have at least 10 unused/unneeded narcan bottles at my home now. I tried to give them away and no one wants them. $74 each pair (my portion after insurance pays).
What a Decade of American Pain Policy Reveals https://t.co/l6ollJZWos A decade after the 2016 CDC opioid guideline, what does the record show?
Prescribing fell. Clinical practice changed. Many patients lost access. See essay with Josh Bloom
