The four major US beef packers are Tyson Foods, Cargill, JBS USA, and National Beef. They process roughly 80-85% of fed cattle.
All have histories of FSIS recalls for E. coli, Salmonella, and foreign matter in ground beef and other products. JBS recently faced a months-long plant suspension over sanitation failures, condensation contamination risks, and repeated Listeria detections. Worker safety, child labor contractor issues, and antitrust settlements for alleged price-fixing have also occurred across the group.

The USDA typically has no repercussions for failure as well.
1. USDA inspections are an absolute joke
2. Most outbreaks occur in USDA facilities, despite legally being able to buy half, quarter, etc of cows, pigs, lambs, etc without USDA inspections.
3. Elk, venison, bison, etc are except from USDA sale laws. You are eating them without USDA inspections. No issues.
4. Foreign meat- and we have no foreign labeling so who knows what meat is foreign- have not been processed at all USDA facility.
5. No one is forcing any farmer to custom process and sell. No one is forcing any consumer to buy such meat. Buy and sell at your own risk.
6. Custom processing is typically significantly more humane.
@wendyp4545 @realDonaldTrump When I was growing up my parents NEVER bought meat at the 'grocery store' like we have to do now. We could pick the cow and watch it be processed from our local farmer. We got meat from the meat market and breads at the bakery on Main Street not in some box store. Fuck USDA.

It’s already legal to process your own beef. It comes with a stamp that says "Not For Sale" Unless they can sell beef without being restricted, fined by the USDA and other alphabet agencies this means nothing.

@wendyp4545 @realDonaldTrump There are 4 processing plants within the US. That doesn't include some state sponsored programs. The USDA the FDA and any other Government agency doesnt give two flying fucks about your health or wellness. Let ranchers process their own.
