A dad with his head screwed on created 30+ gender-critical websites containing more than 6,000 pages of information in just a few weeks — including the now infamous "Am I Trans?" survey.

The result?
A Dutch public broadcaster's "misinformation hunters" devoted a segment to denouncing the sites. They interviewed two "transitioned" young people who were, offended... and, in the process, introduced viewers to both @Voorzij and Genspect.

A great example of when an attempt to suppress ideas provides amplification instead.

A Democrat running for governor of Ohio has declared "I do not support boys playing in girls sports. This is already settled law in Ohio, and as governor I will enforce and uphold the law."

The way for Democrats to neutralize the trans issue is to co-opt GOP positions on sports, private spaces, child transition, and compelled speech, supporting the removal of gender ideology instruction from schools, bans on child transition, and the removal of recognition of gender identity in law at every level of state, local, and federal government.

Everybody wants to think there is some other way. But there is no other way.

One of my oldest observations on here: progressives think that to explain something is to justify it, that explanations are in some sense exculpatory.

So if some guy stomps on a strangers head, but then you find out he had a rough childhood, most people will accept that as a potential explanation, but for the progressive the feeling is much deeper that this information mean that the criminal is to a significant degree less responsible for what happened

This is of course very silly and is evidence of a disordered mind. If you have mental health problems, then you’re still somebody with mental health problems. If you have a learning disability that explains why you did poorly in school, then you’re still stupid. If you are violent because of a violent childhood, then you’re still a violent degenerate.

Nothing has changed. You’re still just exactly as stupid, degenerate, or disordered as you were before. The explanation changes nothing.

This kind of stuff used to be reserved for defending criminals and the severely retarded, but you’re starting to see people incorporate this kind of thinking into their own lives at scale.
