Well, this changes the story considerably.

The initial headlines called this a “glacial collapse.” Satellite analysis now indicates the major failure was a massive bedrock collapse beneath the glacier.

That distinction matters. This was fundamentally a geologic mass-failure event involving bedrock, which then mobilized ice, rock, sediment, and water downstream... not simply a glacier spontaneously collapsing because of warming.

Read that as the accounts, because it is.

- Wage the farm could pay her on top of everyone already on it: nothing

- The thing that finally let her farm full time: a television series

She left nursing in 2026, a year after the show went out. She now presents on Channel 4 and is looking to buy a smallholding of her own.

That is the bit nobody prints. The only thing that has ever paid a young British farmer enough to farm is a camera. Kaleb is a millionaire because Amazon filmed him. Harriet left the wards because Amazon filmed her. Every young farmer without a production company is on somebody else's payroll, and the average age at the farm gate keeps climbing.

She was named her town's Young Farmers spokesperson before any of this. She was loud in the inheritance tax protests. She has spent her adult life doing 2 jobs to be near the one she was raised for.

A country that cannot pay its farmers' daughters to farm does not have a succession plan. It has a waiting list for the next television series.

Folic acid is NOT folate.

Folate is the naturally occurring form of vitamin B9 found in foods like leafy greens and beans.

Folic acid is the synthetic form added to enriched flour, cereal, bread, pasta and prenatal vitamins.

Before your body can actually use folic acid, it has to convert it through multiple steps into the active form, methylfolate.

For people with MTHFR variants, that conversion process is difficult.

Excess folic acid can then remain unmetabolized in the bloodstream.

This can cause oxidative stress and immune dysfunction and create an especially problematic situation during pregnancy, when folate is critical for DNA synthesis, cell division and fetal development.

Yet women are still routinely told to take folic acid without ever being told there is a difference between synthetic folic acid and active folate.

Your body needs FOLATE.

Instead, governments are building a cross-border carbon corporation pipeline for failure: capture it, ship it, bury it, subsidise it, and congratulate themselves. The bill will land on taxpayers. The benefit will land on consultants, contractors and corporations who receive our tax money under the guise of net zero.

During the night, I spoke with many people in Ukraine about Zelensky’s threats to civil aviation.

Absolutely everyone fears Russia’s response and calls Zelensky crazy - including people from his own office.

Zelensky is raising the level of escalation.

The problem is that Russia can escalate indefinitely - even to the point of humanity’s disappearance from Earth.

While Ukraine's resources are limited.

Zelensky’s trying to divert attention from the insane corruption in his office.

He will bring grief to many more homes in Europe.

The SNP’s plan to impose price controls on supermarkets is almost unbelievably bad.
By way of illustrating just how bonkers it is let us imagine that the same policy applied to car sales.
The SNP would cap the price of a Fiat 500. Fine! (Not fine, actually but let’s let that slide for now.)
But when all the Fiat 500s have been sold, the dealer would be compelled to sell another, more expensive, car (eg, an Audi) for the price of a Fiat 500.
And when all the Audis have been sold the process repeats itself. So, in this illustration, the dealer would be forced to sell a Bentley for the price of a Fiat 500.
That is genuinely how it is supposed to work with prices capped for 50 (!) foodstuffs.

Under the SNP's new food price cap scheme, if Tesco's cheapest 75p own-brand loaf sells out, it would be legally required to immediately start selling its next-most-expensive loaf for 75p ("real-time adaptability to pricing"); and if that sells out, it has to discount another.

The price caps will be set by the Scottish govt on up to 50 "essential items" and the only way for a store to avoid this cascade is to take the rest of the loaves off the shelves and not sell any bread, which the SNP itself recognises could be an issue.

A study on 'voluntary' syn folic acid fortification in Ireland in 2012, found that 94% of its elderly participants had Unmetobolised Folic Acid (UFA) in their blood, despite fasting for 24 hours before bloods were taken. This study noted that moving to 'mandatory' fortification could have implications not fully understood and need careful consideration before implementing.

So if voluntary fortification created a constant trickle of UFA in vulnerable groups such as the Elderly as found in this study, then it makes sense that mandatory fortification will worsen UFA in the blood because it will be in an even wider range of foods (as we are seeing here in the UK) with all its possible health implications:

The folic acid in flour affair is a good example of how broken our politics is.

Ordinarily when a government does something stupid and harmful like this, we might be able to rely on the opposition to call the government out, oppose what they're doing, and campaign for change.

But this legislation was created by the Conservative government in 2019 at the behest of global health technocrats, and passed through Parliament via a statutory instrument in 2021 in the midst of the coronapanic - when governments were able to operate in a top-down manner and pass lots of legislation with little Parliamentary, media or public scrutiny.

If we were to go to the Shadow Health Secretary today and ask them to call out the outrage of the whole population being medicated unnecessarily and in many cases harmfully, they will probably refuse to take up the issue since

a) it would show the Conservatives up as they created the bad legislation in the first place;
b) they still agree with the legislation and are every bit under the spell of the global health technocrats as the Labour Party;
c) they don't know anything about the topic and are completely reliant on "experts" to tell them what to do and
d) reversing the legislation (which is what is needed here) would be very expensive for the food industry, and the Conservatives rely on private businesses to fund their party.

Politicians have basically outsourced all policies relating to science and technology to "experts", since few of them have any knowledge or qualifications in science and technology.

But who is governing the "experts"? What's stopping them from doing harmful things? It's a problem Carl Sagan foresaw several decades ago but has never been addressed.

It's just another example of how terrible it is to be governed by a Uniparty of puppets, with faceless globalists pulling their strings.
