gold medal combo: moleskine journal + sakura micron pigma pens
my kids are getting all my life journals (if i don't burn them out of embarrassment beforehand) and i love these two brands
I'm going to make my own kitchen journal that my daughter can inherit but I learned today that most "nice" notebooks aren't archival quality at all. If you want it to become an heirloom you need specific paper (acid-free) and ink (pigment-based vs dye-based).
people with the least amount of information often have the strongest opinions.
they bake a whole conclusion cake without any flour (nuance) or eggs (awareness of limitations) and can’t understand why their cake comes out a soupy mess.
true.
i felt embarrassed to only walk w 2 cords instead of 3, but after reflection, considered the 3rd to be invisible. to me, it represented healing, hardship, and lessons learned from a v difficult time in my life, reflected in the final gpa only by subtraction of points.
reminded of a thought i had yesterday --
a 3.8 GPA might mean that the person in question didn't push themselves hard enough
a 3.8 GPA might mean that they decided to optimize for the things that mattered to them, and took the Bs on the rest
hard to tell from a resume
guys who want to will.
i was waiting in line at the WF coffee bar this summer, quietly dancing balboa steps to myself. guy behind me struck up a convo abt it. later we crossed paths in the store and he stopped me to ask for my number.
guys who want to, really will.
there have been a handful of times in the last few weeks where i’ve seen a really attractive guy out in the wild. we’ve made eye contact and/or smiled at each other.
what is the best way for a woman to signal she’d be interested in him making a move?
@sadgirlyboss in the wild? that’s tough. nonverbal cues like that are a solid start. if there’s a reasonable way to initiate conversation, just do it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
maybe i should go back to the 90 day plan. did that once several years ago (by listening to most of it on 2x speed) and it was an enlightening experience
started a Bible reading plan to go through it in a year. 3 days in—completely stopped. now im powering through all of the january readings in one sitting and actually…i kind of like this better? wider overview w biblical context fresh in mind over larger swathes of text.
