Something is happening in Seattle right now. Layoffs + AI + Tech + ☔️ = countless side-projects, ready for the next step -> Founders galore.
What's missing is a place where it all connects.
We built it. 🧵
Our CEO Varun Puri spoke at @seattlefloworg's Startup Day 2026 last week 🎤
The core message: listening deeply, not just to what people ask for, but to the underlying problems they're trying to solve, is how you build something that actually matters.
A huge thank you to @calbucci and @ShaunaCausey for organizing an incredible event and for bringing together such an inspiring community of founders and builders. 🔥

We'll be at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026 on May 15th, demoing @PredictableCode at the Startup Fair.
Come see what it looks like to formally verify AI-generated code. Not "passes review," actually proven correct. 👌

We talk about how AI will disrupt product development, but you rarely hear people talk about how AI has already disrupted marketing and advertising.
@randfish is a pioneer of this change, naming it Zero-Click Marketing, where users make buying decisions before they even get to your website.
Every startup founder needs to adjust to this new reality if they want to stand out in the ever noisier world of digital marketing.
Rand will be speaking at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026.
We are almost at capacity, so get your tickets ASAP.
What if I made 300 introductions and coordinated 300 coffee meetings in a day?
That's what I'm doing on May 15. Matching founders and future founders with experts, investors, and seasoned founders.
In 2009, I was making so many introductions between folks in the startup world that it was a no-brainer during the first Startup Day to create the Advisory Room. A place where dozens of “advisors” make themselves available for 1:1 meetings with founders.
It's the human version of an operating system that optimally allocates resources to each application.
This system works well for several reasons:
1) Coffee meetings are disruptive because they break the day, but if you allocate a day for that, there will be less context switching.
2) It's hard to get a cold intro or even a warm intro. It's a time-consuming and frustrating dance of seeing if there is interest from both sides, coordinating schedules and locations (or Zoom), etc.
3) People want to meet other professionals, but without a filter (purpose, goal, values) in place, it leads to a lot of wasted energy.
Tomorrow, April 30, we'll start rolling out the bookings for the Advisory Room. We have over 30 advisors for people to book time with during the @seattlefloworg Startup Day conference.
If history rhymes, this is one of the most successful aspects of Startup Day for both sides of the table.
If you're a founder or future founder, get your ticket before prices go up next week. Earlier tickets get first pick of advisors.
Scott Case (Recurrent Auto) on hiring his early team during the pandemic:
The shortcut to early recruiting is hiring people you’ve already worked with. You don’t have to guess what they’re like under pressure. You already know.
What made that easier here: Seattle’s connections. People show up. They follow through. They’re committed. That’s a quiet edge in the early days of a startup.
Scott speaks at Startup Day on May 15 with other great founders such as @chetkittleson (Tin Can), @escgreene (@ItsClearlyAI), and @ianwong_ (@_summation).
Prices go up after Friday.
@randfish is one of the founders I admire the most.
He spent 14 years building Moz from an SEO agency into a tech-driven SaaS success. He has seen all sides of entrepreneurship. After not much of a break, he co-founded, and he's the CEO of @sparktoro and @alertmouse.
Rand will be a speaker at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026.
Get your ticket to hear Rand speak, and if you are one of the luck ones, you can book 1:1 time with him in the Advisory Room.
If you work at Microsoft, May 7 is a big day.
I worked there for 7 years. Built @seattlefloworg Startup Day for people sitting where you are now.
Stay or go? Found or join? Same conversation at Amazon, Google, Meta.
16 founders sharing what actually works, including @ericries, @tmyerson, @randfish, @ambikasi, @davidshim. Plus an Advisory Room with investors and operators, a Co-founder Match program, and a Startup Fair.
Founding isn't for everyone. The highs are high; the lows are low. But you get to use your creative brain, build your own roadmap, and skip the meetings and corporate politics that drain your energy.
May 15. Seattle. Prices go up Friday. Link below.
Varun Puri founded @yoodli, raised over $84M for the communication coach platform after his experience coaching execs on how to speak at Google. At Google X, he was hand-picked by Sergey Brin to run special projects. He's speaking at Startup Day 2026.
@davidshim founded @ReadAI_ , a meeting/AI assistant, and raised $81M to date at a $450M valuation and passed 1 million weekly active users. David was the CEO of Foursquare, founded Placed (acquired by Snap), and he has invested in dozens of startups. He's speaking at Startup Day

Seattle, May 15. Here's who's on stage. 👇
.@escgreene signed Rivian before Clearly AI had a product. Just a mockup. Emily is speaking at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026 on May 15 in Seattle on her journey from Amazon to founding her startup, and raising an $8M seed round.
Too much advice is how founders pivot their way into nothing. @ambikasi, founder of Armoire: take it all in, listen most to your team, stay steady like water, then decide.
She’s at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026 on when to pivot and when to persist.
At 17, @davidshim got legally emancipated so he could trade stocks. He went on to co-found @ReadAI_ , one of Seattle’s fastest-growing startups. He’s speaking at @seattlefloworg Startup Day 2026 on hiring your first 10 employees.
Seattle has a quietly powerful startup community and @seattlefloworg on May 15th is proof. Engaged speakers, real advisors, investors who show up. @everybanking will be there. This one is worth your time. #startup
