@SuperShaun2k22 @philatrail Presumably First Group will be formally objecting to First Group’s open access proposal on the basis that First Group’s revenue will be abstracted by First Group?
Amazing photos of new trains being delivered to the Gruetschalp-Murren line in the Bernese Oberland🇨🇭
Other than cable car, this tiny road is the only way to reach the isolated line, perched 1,600m asl on a ledge above Lauterbrunnen. Pics from #Stadler@JungfrauRegion
@PhilipJTaylor1@Davidal20103984@Vintage_Trains They don’t - but if they’re on the back the diesel is physically coupled to the train and will provide assistance when requested by radio from the train engine.
@Davidal20103984@PhilipJTaylor1@Vintage_Trains Amusingly after we crossed onto the Up Main at Reading, the diesel ran on the Up Relief and briefly caught us up / ran alongside between Ruscombe and Maidenhead 🤣
Some photos from a fabulous first day of @Vintage_Trains ‘The Great Western’ tour with 7029 Clun Castle of Tyseley shed. Looking forward to tomorrow and the exciting prospect of the 1Z48 rerun…
@WilliamBarter1 @SouthEastRailGp @MarkJona4405 If we had a joined-up transport strategy, the remaining 12tph through Crossrail would have run from the WCML (wasn’t this the ‘Superlink’ concept?) freeing up existing platforms at Euston currently used by suburban trains for HS2. Which is what Paris RER did at Gare du Nord, etc.
