Tried something completely new for myself.
I built a game world.
It started as a small idea, but then I kept going deeper: world rules, game mechanics, characters, backstories, motivations, and the story behind everything.
I kept asking myself:
why does this world exist?
what drives these characters?
how does this actually work?
In the end, it turned into a whole game world.
And once that world was there, making a teaser for it didn’t feel that hard anymore.
It was really fun ✨

I created this while exploring FX and layout. It’s finished, but there are still many things I could improve.

Fantastic example!
It might be tempting to spin from the hip controller, but for a physically accurate spin the body would rotate around its center of gravity (COG) - which for someone curled up actually places it outside the body and roughly in the center of the curled 'ball'
God of War!! Here is a short cinematic animation test I did back in 2009 for Sony Santa Monica. I only had the audio file to go off of without any context, so I envisioned a Kratos that was calm, but having none of it and ready to throw hands. (I'll link to the scene GoW3 in thread) 1/4
This shot will be one year old soon! I found the videos showing how the animation evolved! It’s funny because now I would do everything very differently!
I animated this short test after finishing the course "Total Lip Sync Masterclass" by @LRossiArt . The course was amazing, I highly recommend checking it out!
