Tried something completely new for myself.
I built a game world.
It started as a small idea, but then I kept going deeper: world rules, game mechanics, characters, backstories, motivations, and the story behind everything.
I kept asking myself:
why does this world exist?
what drives these characters?
how does this actually work?
In the end, it turned into a whole game world.
And once that world was there, making a teaser for it didn’t feel that hard anymore.
It was really fun ✨
With Rive accessibility features releasing soon, this is about to become the best way to build hyper-performant experiences than can run anywhere - web, mobile apps, game engines - with full accessibility and responsiveness
My entry for the @rive_app Impossible UI challenge ✨
I gave myself an extra challenge: to build a small story around the interface.
So I made an alien planetary catalog.
For them, Earth is an oxygen-water hazard.
And some planets that are deadly for humans might actually be viable for them.
Fully built in Rive: data binding, state machines, scripted components, sounds, and much more.
You can play with it live here: https://t.co/nZHpOlCT82
Thanks for the challenge, Rive. This was really fun 👽
