@areyousurebruv i think i'm trying to say that for me i worry about it less over time, but it hasn't ever gone away. if you're feeling like this its not because you did anything wrong, its just in the nature of how other people treat people like us and how we come to anticipate that treatment

@areyousurebruv yeah i still get really sad about this often. i hate always making different calculations for everyone you meet re:how they perceive you vs their level of intimacy and permanence in your life. i'm not sure there's any way out, even stealth would just be even more like this maybe?

@areyousurebruv but i figure as long as in relations with coworkers or classmates or friends i feel like people see me the right way (or i at least become comfortable asserting correct pronouns) then random strangers don't matter so much

@areyousurebruv if you're like me though i think the vast majority of short term interactions you will have with strangers will have no explicitly gendered component, so you'll always just be wondering in your head how people see you
