@AngryMariners The Mariners are 15-12 in day games, 22-23 in night games. There is plenty to criticize, but "day games" is not something I see a ton of correlation with their overall performance.
@MarinersONTap There are obviously a lot of things worthy of criticism thus far, but, and i don't know if it's just the broken algorithm on this broken website, but there is a very loud contingent on my feed asking to burn the whole thing down which feels like a wild over-correction to me.
@MojoMariner They have made the 5th most outs on the basepaths this year. They've made up for it at least this year by being slightly above average at getting outs on the basepath - they already have 3 more pick offs than they did all of last year.
@ac_slaterrrr@A_Jude They are 21st on total number of players on the injured list this year and 19th on total number of days on the injured list. They're actually above average, health-wise.
@ARealFan5@IISwitchII June 14, 2018 the Giants had both Derek Rodriquez and Ty Blach pitch 6.2 innings each, though they used 3 other pitchers in between.
@YankeeLibrarian 50% of the top 12 teams by payroll have losing records. 8 of the top 15 teams have losing records. I do think owners should have a responsibility to try to field a competitive team, but more money can't always buy competence.
Maybe I am wrong but it really feels like the same people who are against the minimum wage for free market reasons are pro-salary cap in sports and that feels like cognitive dissonance to me.
@91hawksfan@SeahawksForever Last year, Donovan Solano had very, very similar stats to Refsnyder after his first 80 plate appearances and then had an .840 OPS over his last 110.
@iTalkStudiosYT This is the 14th time this has happened this year. 3 inning saves are not really all that uncommon, even in today's era of 1 inning relievers.
@zachleft You need all your starters to reliably and consistently go deep into games for a 6 man rotation to work. Castillo hasn't shown he can go deep into games this year, bryce is just getting back after an injury. I like castillo and hope he can turn it around, but he's not performing
At this point, emerson Hancock might just deserve an all star nod. Unbelievable start to the season. Mariners need to find a way to keep him in the rotation for sure.
@NotTyFrance My big issue is this feels like results based thinking. It worked because Refsnyder hit a home run. Would it still have been the correct decision if he didn't execute?
