@FakeHeadteacher @moth754 I thought this was called ‘empty praise’ and can actually do more harm than good as students have no idea what they are being praised for. I also thought that by labelling them as smart means that they are less willing to attempt the next challenge.

Year 11 are using the next 10 hwks to revise the Required Practicals. They have to: (1) watch a revision video (2) make notes on the prac (3) complete past paper questions. They've made a great job on Prac 1 so far. #WhatAGoodOneLookLike#GCSEbiology

@SciTeach333 Put them into a normal distribution curve for the whole cohort. Have the largest percentage achieving a 5-4 to be safe and curve it from there.
