The oldest inn in France, La Couronne, Rouen, Normandy, @lacouronnerouen
dates to 1345.

The Roman Empire still existed (in the form we now call The Byzantine Empire). The Hundred Years’ War was only an eight years’ war. Notre Dame Cathedral was completed that year in Paris.

So much history was yet to be.

Until June 30, 2024, I had never been to Rouen or to La Couronne, though I had chosen the historic location to be a setting in my book, Secured in Stone @SecuredInStone

My family and I made a dinner reservation at La Couronne. How would it be? Wonderful!
