@NauvooSpice I believe it’s closed on Monday for cleaning and routine maintenance. Most temples are very busy on Saturdays and a day is needed for this work. Temples in Idaho’s Treasure Valley get cleaned every night but I think it’s not a deeper clean; more like bathrooms and vacuuming.
Just read the life history of my husband’s great-great-grandmother. It was like reading a condensed version of Little House on the Prairie except they ended up in Middleton, Idaho. It was amazing.
@EricCMeadows I love September! The weather here is generally awesome and it’s Goldilocks weather most of the time. Plus lots and lots of birthdays (count back 9 months), including my son’s @BoiseState4Life
@kateiswell I’ll confess that I’ve been the one who hasn’t expressed gratitude in the past. Time and experience has since taught me how valuable these expressions are. Even if the gift isn’t what I wanted, I need to be grateful for the kindness. Maybe someday, she will learn this as well.
@dantypo That was so kind. He didn't rush, looked like he had all the time in the world to help this man. Don't hardly see that from anyone, not to mention a celebrity at a premiere of a movie they are in.
@DaleGRenlund@Mormonger I love this! As a mother of two men who were once 12-13 year old boys, I love the understanding your wife showed, knowing these boys are still learning. And that the boys showed what kind of men they are becoming. Beautiful.
@DChadwickAuthor Had a co-worker who was very difficult and I did not get along with her at all. When she died of breast cancer a few years ago, I had very mixed feelings. In fact, I didn't know how to feel and wondered what kind of person that made me. So I entirely get how you are feeling.
@RykerJackson97 Going to that open house. My dad was born in Ephraim, and so was his father and grandfather. Because of that generational tie, I want to visit the temple that I never envisioned would be built.
@FiredUpCoug I love your idea, but Idaho Potato is trademarked by the Idaho Potato Commission. you cannot use Idaho and Potato together for commercial usage without their permission and, likely, their financial cut.
Also, I've never understood the Vandal part of U of I.
