Why aren't there no one selling pre-shredded cheeses without an anti-caking agent. Sell me a bag of of clumpy shredded cheese that I'm gonna melt anyway. Every recipe I see calls for it at this point.
@jmdagdelen Wiping it's memory clean first is even better.
Make it forget who it is and what atrocities it committed in it's past, then reintroduce it to them while calling it all sorts of names, works every time
Having non-human like capabilities such as cars on the road communicating with each other, is one of the end goals of self driving. By the same reasoning, I don't get why the sensors can't be non-human like.
I spent years thinking its reasonable for Tesla to only use cameras because humans only need their eyes to drive. Also the car sees 360, which is better than a human.
But now I understand why the mentality is limiting. Why not get more data and make an even better driver.
Human driving and human like sensors are not the benchmark nor the ceiling.
Engineering a much better, faster, and safer driver in all conditions sounds a lot more exciting.
@zhephod@DanielLurie This is all public transportation in the US, unions are ruining it. They get paid well, hire however they feel like and demand raises while the service keeps getting worst.
It's the complete opposite story for the rest of the world.
@jonathanzliu@oliverbrocato Yeah if you try a validated need idea for a couple of weeks then pivot because it didn't go viral, you'll never get to the low MRR goal.
There is conviction and there is a quick buck, you're optimizing for the latter. It's a balancing game assuming your ideas are valid needs.
@chamath If this post truly cared about saving lives, it would've included/mentioned something about self driving in general, instead it just glazed FSD as if it's the only game in town
@BillAckman@ViralNewsNYC You should've tweeted more, maybe he would've lost then, you clearly failed New York.
One can only wonder how different your life will be after such a tragedy.
@garrytan Cost.
Land, logistics, electricity, equipment, build and setup labor, maintenance labor and parts, and operational labor costs.
If all these are cheap enough elsewhere (China), it's cheaper to import and sell with a markup.
@jaffathecake@jarredsumner@bunjavascript It's been clear for years that @apple isn't capable or doesn't care to maintain and develop safari well.
It's hurting their user base and the internet at large. They lost this platform war, it's done, a new AI browser wave is coming and I can't imagine they'll compete in it
