ABC7 recounts all the efforts the teachers in the building made to stop the violence. They omit what stopped the violence. Not journalism.

A story on Alpha and CBS omits any mention of the rich experiential learning that takes place a majority of the school day. This is not journalism.
@TurboDad@humantransit Nope. Public transit in a city is a wonderful amenity. It’s also true that passenger rail is extremely expensive and costs most people, (97% of Illinois residents, 430k/13 million) for the benefit of a few.
@humantransit@Metra@NITA_Chicago Cool man. Spend everyone’s money on something no one uses. Let’s look to the future-driverless vehicles and electric VTOL aircraft, not back to 18th century technology.
@TheMattViera And if you’re doing it right it’s balls out crazy from 7 am to 4 pm. Every freakin’ day. Complete exhaustion by the end of May. I now have a $4 million portfolio and a $128k annual pension. Retired at 58.
@klastastic Likely true. I know this from 23 years in a government high school math classroom. Fractions, ratios, percentages may be taught but it ain’t learned. We all know illiterate. Now learn innumerate. Public school fraud dwarfs all other government fraud combined.
@vkoganpolisci@JoanneLeeJacobs “Students learn at their own pace” is a bromide. It’s fact that those of lower ability learn at a slower rate. System arbitrarily advances you after 180 days regardless, an act of willful blindness, fraud and incompetence. Explains why govt schools have failed. Time for change.
@colossus_cap@TJandCasper Bush had legislation to partially privatize and save SS. Had it been passed analysis shows it would have worked fabulously. Democrats stopped the bill. I came up with just one solution.
@NewILState Thank you New Illinois. Passenger rail COSTS us money. It is a drag. It adds nothing to our economy. If it can’t pay it’s own way shut it down.
