💢 Israeli airstrike hits funeral procession in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, killing at least 10

An Israeli air raid struck the Shams Tar cemetery during a funeral procession, killing at least 10 people, including mourners, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported. The Bekaa Valley, a rural region in eastern Lebanon between two mountain ranges, has been repeatedly targeted during the conflict.

Israeli attacks today killed at least 27 people and injured 34 more in the Baalbeck–Hermel governorate, which sits in the northern part of the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.

💢 Israel attacks WHO vehicle, Rafah travel suspended

▪️The Israeli military opened fire on a World Health Organization (WHO) vehicle transporting several WHO staff members in Khan Younis on Monday in an area designated as a “green zone,” according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

▪️The driver of the vehicle was killed in the attack, which the Health Ministry blasted as “undermining the work of humanitarian organizations and imposing further restrictions on their operations.”

▪️The World Health Organization informed the Palestinian Red Crescent that, due to the attack, it had temporarily suspended medical evacuations of patients and transit of returnees to Gaza through the Rafah crossing, as reported by WAFA news agency.

Children in Gaza are increasingly being bitten by rats as Israel continues to deny displaced families proper shelter under the ongoing blockade. Jawad Abu Nassar was detained east of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza alongside his father, where, according to medical reports, he was subjected to deliberate abuse including having cigarettes extinguished on his leg, being stabbed with a sharp object, and having an iron nail inserted into his body. The torture was carried out in front of his father, Osama Abu Nassar, to pressure him into making confessions.

The incident began when a quadcopter drone forced the father to place his child on the ground and strip at gunpoint near the border area. Soldiers then took the child and held him for hours before releasing him through the Red Cross in the Maghazi market. The father remains abducted, while the family is calling on international organizations to intervene for his release and to ensure continued treatment for the child.
