O Believers! Always Remember Allah often, and glorify Him morning and evening. He is the One Who showers His blessings upon you - and His angels pray for you - so that He may bring you out of darkness and into light. For He is ever Merciful to the believers.

Ibn Al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“My son, do not let your past carelessness make you lose hope of achieving good,
for many people have come back to wakefulness after long sleep.”

"And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor [i.e., blessings] of Allah, you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful."

This is by the grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful, it is only for their own good. But whoever is ungrateful, surely my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Most Generous.

Ibn Rajab writes:
Hasan al-Basri رحمه الله would weep and weep for a long time and say, “I’m afraid of Allah tossing me into Jahannam and not even caring in the slightest.”
And Abu Darda’ رضي الله عنه would say, “How worthless the slaves of Allah become when they disobey Him.”
Al-Hafidh Al-Dhahabi رحمه الله
“Whomever makes supplication (Dua) Habitually and persists in knocking the door, then the door will open for him”

The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked about fasting the Day of 'Arafah and he replied:
