Just saw a @SenSusanCollins ad where her lobbyist husband's Super PAC flat put tries to insinuate Graham Platner is a child molester.
Might straight up have been the most disgusting ad I have ever seen. That Pine Tree PAC and the nose ring woman should be ashamed of themselves.
@thats_so_traevn I was watching them on Something Awful before they even started posting to Youtube.
Their Darkseed videos from after they made the choice to start posting on YT were some of the funniest videos I have ever watched.
if i had a nickel for every time somebody started a spite gofundme because i started one for my partner who was dying of cancer made less than mine did and then killed themself i would have one nickel which isnt a lot but its weird it happened once
@harrisonjaime You're a bitch and part of the reason this country is in the mess it is in.
We will primary all of you establishment douchebags that have bent the knee to wall street and Israel, and fix shit ourselves. Hope that helps you understand shit a little better.
Cody Campbell should be banned for life like the Pony Excess SMU boosters of the 1980s. He has done irreparable damage to Texas Tech, the Big 12, and college footballl as a whole.
@highlifeenjoyer I genuinely believe that humanities should be a prequesite for any type of engineering degree, as someone that has studied both. It would fix a vast majority of these problems if these spergs had to learn about humans, not just math and machines.
Just saw a brand new Platner attack ad from that dumbass Pine Tree pac.
How long until we find out that every woman in the ad is either a GOP state representative, someone that has worked for Susan Collins, or someone that has donated to right wing causes, like all the others?
@highlifeenjoyer Never would have never made it to this point.
Would have made Jessie my wife ASAP and left the world to be destroyed. Sucks to suck, planet nerds.
Cross posting this from the Executive Director of the Maine GOP Jason Savage who wrote it…
“I’m done. I’m calling out the BS. I have seen so much whining about GOP turnout for the primary in Maine, apparently from people who like to complain but don’t know the actual numbers.
We’re going to be close to the highest turnout in three decades in a Republican Gubernatorial primary. We are already at the second highest. (We will probably end up between 125k-130k voters and close to our all-time high.)
People complaining are looking sideways comparing to the Democrat freak show internal civil war turnout rather than look at our numbers historically.
2026: 118,424 (with around 40-50 towns not reported --> AP)
2022: 65,684
2018: 101,585
2014: 62,313
2010: 131,407 (huge tea party wave year)
2006: 70,044
2002: 78,783
1998: 57,832
1994: 89,623
The uninformed freakout from certain corners has given the press a narrative that they don’t need any actual facts to push forward, and it has given a whole bunch of Republicans a reason to criticize one another.
The numbers are the numbers. Turnout was stronger than was predicted (most predictions were around 100k), and anyone saying otherwise is either uninformed or being opportunistic so they can perpetuate the GOP infighting.
Also, Democrats had at least 8 campaigns with significant funds to invest in GOTV across 3 races, two of them statewide.
We may have had 2 campaigns that could invest in GOTV, and our 2 best funded campaigns had no need to do it because they were unopposed.
On our side, almost every dollar was spent on persuasion, trying to win the voters that were already going to show up.
You can't simultaneously get almost record high turnout when looking at the historical data and complain that turnout was weak.
If you didn't know the numbers and just believed someone else's post, I understand, it happens in this day and age.
If you knew but just needed to freak out and start a fight, shame.”
