🚨 Manipur Home Minister Mr. Govindas Konthoujam recently proposed blanket pardon and soft treatment for #ArambaiTenggol militants, referring to them as “our sons”.
Here is the record of crimes committed by Arambai Tenggol against Kuki-Zo people:
Sexual Violence Against Kuki-Zo Women:
Arambai Tenggol gang-raped and tortured Florence Nengpichong Hangshing (24) and Olivia Lhingneithem Chongloi (21) to death in Imphal on 4 May 2023. The two young women were dragged out, brutally raped and murdered in extreme cruelty.
Arambai Tenggol abducted 18-year-old Nengtinlhing Haokip from an ATM in Imphal on 15 May 2023, gang-raped her repeatedly at multiple locations, tortured her severely and dumped her. She suffered unbearable pain and trauma for nearly 3 years and finally died on 10 January 2026.
Arambai Tenggol raped and burned alive Zosangkim Hmar (31), a Kuki-Zo school teacher and mother of three, in Zairawn village, Jiribam on 7 November 2024. They shot her, sexually assaulted her and set her body on fire.
Arambai Tenggol dragged Mrs. Hatbem Kipgen out of a relief camp in Kakching Khunou on 31 May 2023, raped, tortured and killed her.
Amnesty International documented at least 32 cases of rape and gang-rape by Arambai Tenggol members against Kuki-Zo women and girls. Many more remain unreported.
Killings of Kuki-Zo Men, Children and Civilians:
Arambai Tenggol beheaded David Theik, a village volunteer, in Langza village and burned his dismembered body.
They shot 5-year-old Tonsing Hangsing in the head, then stopped the ambulance and burned the child alive along with his mother and relative.
They abducted Nehmang Kipgen, severed his arms and legs, then burned him alive.
They bludgeoned James Lamminlal Khongsai to death in Langol.
They shot Benzamin Guite (22), a village volunteer, with sniper fire in Sugnu Langching.
They killed and mutilated Kamlengsat Lunkim (22) and Kamminlal Lupheng (23) in Phailengmol, Kangpokpi on 13 April 2024. Their bodies were chopped, stabbed and dragged.
They butchered Jamkhogin Haokip, Thangkhokai Haokip and Hollenson Baite in Thowai village on 18 August 2023 in the most barbaric manner.
They executed Jangpao Touthang, Khaimang Guite and Mrs. Domkhohoi in Khoken village.
They tortured and shot Seigoulen Singson, then dumped his bullet-riddled body in the river in Jiribam.
They killed Pastor Sehkhohao Kipgen and Kamlallian Vaiphei (first victims in Kangvai).
They shot Thangginlun Lupheng in Khongsai Veng, lynched Ngamthang Lhungdim and Jamkholal Lhungdim in front of their families.
They burned Songthat Letminthang Haokip alive in Sangaiprou.
They shot Chonkholen Haokip (CRPF constable on leave) in Lhunjang.
They killed Thangchon, Lethoi Haokip, Lammang Kipgen, Demkhogin Khongsai, Lunminthang, Thanggunlen Haokip, Letlalkhuol Gangte and many more Kuki men.
Arambai Tenggol also carried out mass killings, burned hundreds of Kuki villages and churches, and looted thousands of weapons from police armouries to use against Kuki-Zo civilians.
Home Minister Govindas Konthoujam — after all these rapes, gang-rapes, torture of women, burning of children alive, beheadings, mutilations and mass murders — do these monsters deserve pardon?
Do the families of these victims get justice, or do the perpetrators get protection because they are called “our sons”?

Major David Manlun
_🇮🇳🕯️ Major David Manlun from Churachandpur district of Manipur is remembered across the nation as a fearless officer who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting insurgents near the Myanmar border. ❤️⚔️ His courage, determination, and leadership during one of the most dangerous counter-insurgency operations continue to inspire millions of Indians and stand as a proud example of service to the nation.
According to reports, Major David was serving with the 164 Infantry Battalion TA (NAGA) in Nagaland, where security forces regularly carried out operations against insurgent groups active near the border region. 🌲🚨 In June 2017, intelligence reports suggested the presence of heavily armed militants in the Lappa area of Mon district near the Myanmar border. The militants were suspected to be linked to extremist organizations operating in the region, prompting security forces to launch a joint mission involving Para Commandos and the 164 Infantry Battalion. 🇮🇳🛡️
The operation was conducted in extremely challenging terrain, nearly 325 kilometers from Kohima and close to the international border. During the mission, insurgents suddenly opened intense fire on the advancing troops. 💥⚔️ Major David Manlun, who was leading the team from the front, displayed extraordinary bravery by moving forward and launching a counterattack against the militants while guiding and motivating his soldiers during the fierce encounter.
While protecting his troops and fighting courageously against the insurgents, Major David was critically hit by enemy fire and attained martyrdom in the line of duty. 🇮🇳💔 Reports also stated that the successful operation led to the recovery of a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants, highlighting the effectiveness and bravery of the security forces involved.
For his exceptional courage, leadership, unwavering commitment, and supreme sacrifice, Major David Manlun was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award. 🏅✨ His sacrifice remains a reminder of the bravery and dedication shown daily by India’s armed forces in protecting peace and national security.
India salutes this brave hero with pride, respect, and gratitude. 🙏🇮🇳_

Protests were held after three church leaders were killed and three others injured in a deadly ambush in India’s Manipur state, the latest incident of ethnic violence that has killed more than 260 people since 2023.
These faithful servants of God laid down their lives during the brutal ambush by the ZUF-Kamson Group and NSCN-IM between Kotjum and L. Jangnomphai Kuki Village. By standing in front, they saved many innocent Kuki civilians from death.@NIA_India@AmitShah@PMOIndia
Today, Molnoi Kuki ancestral village in Kamjong district along the Indo-Burma border was reportedly burnt down by NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, Tangkhul volunteers, relatives volunteers, Myanmar Meitei militants, and Shanni militants. Reports further allege that many of the Tangkhul militants from Manipur were backed and protected by Ukhrul police, Tangkhul CSOs, and NSCN-IM networks while carrying out attacks in the border areas.
The peace-loving Kuki community in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts continues to face repeated attacks where armed groups are allegedly mobilised to target and burn Kuki ancestral villages, including Molnoi village situated along the India-Myanmar border.
Serious concern has also emerged regarding allegations that Tangkhul CSOs coordinated with NSCN Eastern Flank cadres, Tangkhul volunteers, relatives volunteers, and Myanmar Meitei militants while Meitei and Tangkhul groups reportedly blocked the movement of Central security forces through the mobilisation of Meira Paibis and women volunteers. Such actions, if true, directly obstruct lawful security operations and further endanger innocent civilians.
The continued silence of the Government of India regarding the alleged involvement of NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, Tangkhul volunteers, relatives volunteers, Arambai Tenggol, and Myanmar-based militants has deeply affected the Kuki community, whose ancestral villages continue to face destruction and displacement.
Immediate intervention, impartial investigation, and protection of innocent civilians are urgently needed before the situation deteriorates further.
