For folks at #AGU2024 , I'll be hanging out at the @UWEnvironment booth from 10 am-12 pm today (Tue) with stickers and pretty field photos!
The UW booth # 1131 is conveniently located across from the “Pawsitivity Lounge” (aka puppy play pit). Sounds like a ruff place to be!

@OrcaBC101@PNSN1@USGS_ShakeAlert Earthquake early warning is coming to Canada via @NRCan, it just isn't live yet so stay tuned! @NRCan https://t.co/BQCmHqtgTA (Check out their blog link for updates too!)
@KC7EQO@PNSN1 That is correct, we removed UW.BLN in 2022 since it was made redundant by new , higher quality 6-channel sites to the W, NE, and E. (Plus the rent went up too much!)
An earthquake insurance debate among Liechtenstein's parliament was interrupted on Thursday by none other than...an earthquake. According to the Swiss Seismological Service, the quakes had magnitudes of 2.0 and 3.9.
@janetkay2012 @Surplusinterupt @PNSN1 Twitter is global and the majority of the world uses metric. Seems reasonable to me. Hey, at least it is in local time vs UTC!

@trello Excited about the map view for cards but I am wishing that they would take latitude and longitude as input. Will this be possible in the future? TIA!
40 years ago today, people pushed the state to reopen areas around Mt. St. Helens citing tourism & the economy against advice of scientists. Five days later, the volcano erupted. #msh40
@PNSN1 Remember you can fill it out the Did You Feel It form if you felt something. And you can fill it out even if you didn't! The more data on shaking, the better!
@NliteNinc@PNSN1 It shows up on many (most?) of our seismograms. It happens between the two Whidbey Island events (2nd one is not marked in plot). Due to distance from us we see more of a long wave train vs how compact the 2.6 event looks.
