The Ukrainians have taken down another monument glorifying the Soviet Red Army.
This time in the village of Berehove in the Lviv Region.
Full decommunization is underway.
You can support the Ukrainian people in their struggle without making excuses for their deification of fascist “heroes” like Bandera or their casual usage of nazi symbolism. If you make excuses for it, you are normalizing nazi symbols as much as the ones wearing it are.
summing up the endless slew of Ukrainian fascists representing their fascist ideology as “shitty taste in music” is as hilariously disingenuous as the people who think the fash elements in the Ukrainian military justify Russian irredentism.
In short:
- One dude with shitty taste in music doesn't justify a genocidal war of aggression
- The people making the biggest deal about one dude with shitty taste in music are, empirically, provably, not actually people, but rather bot farms
The problem with nsbm or any fash music isn’t that it sounds like shit, it’s that it is fascist and the people who enjoy it, and especially those who enjoy it enough to proudly display fascist symbols from their favorite bands, are also fucking fascists.
Liberal Zionists in 1948: We will drive the Arabs from their homes and build settlements on their villages
Liberal Zionists in 2023: Peace seems so far away 😭 Hopefully we can get back to the ideals of 1948 😌
@legomania105 Bernie launches the great American cultural revolution and initiates ppw from his strategic base in the rolling mountains and hills of Vermont, obviously

the goal for this year is to cleanse all the revisionism out of my essence. tired of falling back on liberal thinking when I have to face problems that make me feel uncomfortable
@gravebabe1917 in my opinion a lot of the criticism levied at them during the war is from the vantage point of hindsight 10-20-50 years after the fact. But during the thick of it, without complete knowledge of the realities and facing almost insurmountable odds, they did the best they could.
beyond capitalist restoration, one of the central hallmarks of counter-revolution in previously socialist countries is the complete removal of any internationalist efforts to build socialism abroad and the enshrining of cynical realpolitik as the operating philosophy.
