We receive 100+ Dog bite cases daily in our emergency. Pet Dog bites are more frequent & dangerous as I noticed in ER because multiple times we needed surgical & plastic surgery intervention. If you get a dog bite by stray or pet dog immediately go to hospital or nearest anti rabies centre to receive ARV &ARS/HRIG as per the dog bite category. If blood comes after dog bite always receive ARS/HRIG. There are proper guidelines for the rabies vaccine so always visit the nearest centre in case of dog bite whether it is stray or pet. The same applies to cats or monkey bite as well.
