Recently, my older daughter told me she wasnt able to explain the work Im doing in the kindergarten and that got me thinking: "How do I explain Cardano to the kids, where do I even start when it comes to blokchain?"

With so much happening in the past few months in Cardano ecosystem, I thought it was quite natural to bring Cardano governance to kids in a meaningful way. And I've had a great small and wonderful workshop with our young ones today.

So I've prepared few things to be voted on:
🤸‍♂️ Play outside without the teachers
🏛️ Learn about ancient heroes
🍭 Get a bucket of candies

Then I've prepared a deck of small vibrant cards with animals, each representing specific ada value. And they were distributed unevenly in the group of my little friends. Of course teachers had their own, special CC cards as they also participated in voting.

The voting itself was magnificent 🎀.
Many of them actually said why they are choosing YES or NO.

We've collectively summed them up and here are the results:
🤸‍♂️ Play outside without the teachers (Yes - 144, No - 188, Unconstitutional) ⛔️
🏛️ Learn about ancient heroes (Yes - 332, No - 0, Constitutional) ✅
🍭 Get a bucket of candies (Yes - 250, No - 82, Constitutional) ✅

Governance action with the bucket of candies was of course enacted after the lunch. 🤣
Ancient heroes history lessons will fit naturally in their existing program of getting familiar with countries of the world and different cultures. 🌍

At the end of todays session all of them were awarded with Junior DRep certificates as a testament of their first steps in Cardano.

What we have learned today is that every voice matters, everybody has the right to agree or disagree and express it and that we can decide on the things we want to do together while respecting each other. Those are the values we all want to pass to our kids.

Governance on Cardano is in its infancy and its learning about itself, just like our kids. And as they grow bigger, the same will happen with Cardano governance. 🧒

Is there a better way to guide the younges ones now, so they can shape the future of Cardano. 🎓

When you click “Confirm Licenses” during wallet confirmation, 1 native WMTx is automatically sent to the same wallet address you confirm - this is the wallet you’ll use to mint your Unity Node(s).
