Sin is Like Quicksand

Sin is like quicksand. It's the devil's playground. It lies before the unsuspecting sinner as an unseen deathtrap. As he steps into it, he begins to sink, and with each movement of his flesh, it takes him deeper into its subtle embrace. In a moment, he's gone. Sucked beneath the silence of the grave. Gone forever into the horror of Hell. The only way to get out of quicksand is to have someone, who is not in its power, to pull us out. Thank God that the hand of grace is willing to save us from the terrors of Hell. This is what the Apostle Paul speaks of in Romans chapters 7 and 8. His struggle against the power of sin only took him deeper into its cold embrace. He cried, "Who will free me from this body of death!" and then sang the praise of Him who reached into death itself to pull him out of its grip.

There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

Rejoice over faithfulness more than being angry over deceitfulness. Praise God for good pastors more than praying God judges false teachers. There is a time for righteous anger and a time to call out falsehood, but not all the time. Instead, all the time rejoice and praise God!

But you know who I blame for this more than Trump? Word-Faith/NAR preachers who have been surrounding him for years. Paula White compared Trump to Jesus just last week. Two of the most prominent SBC pastors, Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham, have given their full support of Paula White. Trump attended Las Vegas International Church some years ago and "Pastor Denise," had Trump come on stage and she said of him, "What I hear the Lord say, 'This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.'"

She not only compared Trump directly to the Son of God, but claimed God as the source of her information. Sheer blasphemy.

Trump is no theologian. These Word-Faith/NAR charlatans and heretics claim to be. And shame on Robert Jeffress and Jack Graham for supporting them. In doing so, they participate in their sin.
