In the spirit of America’s 250th birthday, I’m collecting responses from Nebraskans on what they love about our great nation.
Let me know what you’re celebrating about America: https://t.co/AT9dGuqv10
Such terrible news out of California today. I am grateful for the emergency responders on the scene and holding all those affected by this devastating accident in my heart.

Nebraska Health Care Association swung by my office to discuss supporting our seniors in long-term care. It was touching to hear from two CNAs, whose hard work and compassion ensure Nebraskans receive the care they deserve.
My staff will be hosting local office hours tomorrow, June 16th, for Nebraskans in Banner and Kimball Counties. If you need assistance with a federal agency, please stop by to see how my office can help!

Thank you, @POTUS, for bringing the Iranian terrorist regime to the negotiating table through a position of American strength. I am praying for a resolution that ends Iran's nuclear threat and ushers in a new era of peace and stability for the region.
Iran is weak right now, and @POTUS is negotiating from a position of strength. I support the administration’s efforts to keep Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon—which is crucial to keeping America and the world safe.
Since 1777, the American flag has served as a universal symbol of freedom, liberty, and democracy across the globe. Today, we celebrate the emblem of the land of the free and the home of the brave. Happy Flag Day!
Following the devastating wildfires that burned over 800,000 acres in Garden, Grant, Lincoln, and Morrill counties, I joined the Nebraska delegation in sending a letter to Secretary Rollins on the immediate need for a wildfire disaster designation. This designation would unlock emergency FSA loans to aid in wildfire relief efforts.
My team and I are monitoring the wildfire spreading across Sioux and Dawes counties. With evacuations underway, please remain safe and stay tuned to your local news for updates. For more information, please visit Nebraska’s fire response resources page: https://t.co/ocOO1SsZDG

.@SenatorFischer cheered the U.S. Senate’s unanimous passage of her bill to award a Congressional Gold Medal to the volunteers and communities in her home state that supported soldiers heading off to fight in World War II
It’s fitting that on the 80th anniversary of the North Platte Canteen, my bill passed the Senate to award the Congressional Gold Medal to the volunteers and donors who made this Nebraska legacy possible. Read more:

I had the privilege of meeting 9-year-old Sloan Rieke and her family as they represented @ChildrensNE in Washington. Sloan and her family have demonstrated remarkable courage throughout her ongoing heart journey, and I was grateful for the opportunity to hear their story firsthand.
This is good news for our police departments. My Recruit and Retain Act—now law—allows understaffed departments to use these dollars to cut the costs of attracting and hiring new personnel. Together, this federal investment and my legislation will help build the law enforcement ranks our communities need.
🚨The @COPSOffice has released nearly $700 Million in grant Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) to support law enforcement. The released NOFOs include the COPS Hiring Program (CHP) and several other grant programs that:
🔵Support the hiring and retention of sworn law enforcement officers,
🔵Keep school students safe,
🔵Promote the health and safety of our nation’s law enforcement personnel,
🔵Keep communities safe by providing active shooter training, and
🔵Provide critical technology resources through congressionally designated projects.
"This is another key step in the Trump Administration’s mission to make America Safe Again — and one that will support our nationwide effort to reduce crime in every zip code." -Acting Attorney General @DAGToddBlanche

The lack of affordable, reliable child care – especially in rural communities – remains a huge issue for working families. It's why I introduced the Child Care Modernization Act to improve child care access and quality. I applaud my colleagues in the House for introducing a companion bill – a critical step toward getting this legislation signed into law.
Working families in the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos deserve access to affordable, high-quality child care. The bipartisan legislation I introduced today will help to make that a reality.
👶 Creating new grants to construct and renovate child care centers.
👩🍼 Updating and improving reimbursement rates for providers.
🏡 Adding new support for home-based child care providers.
👫 Helping states expand child care access for more families.
Thank you to my bipartisan co-leads, @repkmr, @RepAshleyHinson, and @RepSusieLee, for helping us reduce costs for working families.
