This song in 1980 caused ripples in the Catholic Church to the extent that the Vatican asked the Bishops in DRC to intervene. Mobutu also stepped in to curb the spread of the song. Most of us black Africans who donโt speak Lingala did not know what the song was about until now that it is subtitled in English. This is a rendition of the original song, but the lyrics and music are unchanged. Happy Sunday Bazalwane
VIDEO | "Six people have tried to jump off the [USS Lincoln]. The most recent was last Monday."
Multimedia producer Andrew Brown has claimed there is a severe mental health crisis aboard the USS Lincoln, asserting that the Navy is actively quashing reports of the unfolding emergency. In a video published on Instagram, Brown highlighted extreme conditions facing the crew, stating, "They've been deployed a total of 271 days, 250 without a port of call. That's unheard of ... They have not been to port in 38 weeks."
According to Brown, the crew is enduring severe supply shortages, moldy showers, and a lack of basic hygiene products like deodorant and toothpaste while eating poor-quality rations.
He emphasized the severe psychological toll of the deployment, revealing, "Six people have tried to jump off that ship. The most recent was last Monday. When you have not touched land in 38 weeks, in over 200 days, things start to happen to you mentally."
I beg you in the name of God, take a moment and watch this clip.

Meet Mallam Adamu Reddington, the ultimate pillar of the Hong community in Adamawa State.
A pious family man who never misses his five daily prayers, Adamu attends every peace meeting with the gravitas of a trusted elder.
Thereโs just one tiny detail: by night, he is the Chief Intelligence Officer and chief concierge for Fulani bandits.
Talk about corporate multitasking! By day, he helps plan community security. By night, he hands over the blueprint and GPS coordinates of his neighbours homes to bandits.
When a raid happens, Adamu is the first to arrive at the scene, mourning louder than the bereaved and leading prayers for the victims he helped target.
The real tragedy? His wide, confident smile when he was finally paraded in handcuffs. Why worry? In Nigeria, getting caught as a high-profile informant is often just a minor inconvenience before a โtop stakeholderโ intervenes and gets you freed.
To those screaming "Not all Fulanis are bandits!", we know. But when the Adamu's in your midst are running the local terror department while sitting on your peace boards, itโs time to stop the defensive excuses and flush out the traitors in your own living rooms.
The most dangerous enemy is never the gunman standing outside your gate; it is the smiling neighbour who unlocks it from the inside while leading you in prayer.
When a community chooses solidarity with the traitor over survival with the truth, it signs its own execution order.
How many Adamus are all over the Fulani communities? How many are they within us?
Inheritance disputes rarely start where we think they do.
And it has less to do with greed than you might think.
Start preparing your legacy and protect your family from conflict.
In April 1953, CIA Director Allen Dulles authorized what would become one of the most notorious programs in American intelligence history. This is the story of how the CIA got into the drug business and got away with it.
๐บ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ฑ The former head of Mossad was just quietly placed in charge of one of the largest military industrial conglomerates in the United States.
Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar argued that changes everything about how the U.S.-Israel relationship actually works.
"Everything from microchips that go into the F-35 to sensors that go into the Patriot missile interceptor program, to drone technology, to communications and radios.
They touch everything, and the guy in charge is now an Israeli Mossad agent."
While Congress fights over $500 billion in unbudgeted war costs, the integration is already done.
