Earlier this year, Joe's bipartisan Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act was signed into law. In part, it provides grants for peer mentoring pilot programs to help address the mental health needs of law enforcement officers.

Since 2013, Joe and his team have conducted more than 300 interviews at more than 50 Veterans History Project events. The VHP is an effort by the @LibraryCongress to preserve veterans’ stories by recording and archiving them.
