It does seem that the solution ultimately converges into circular arrangements with local fiddling. Is it always true though? In particular:

1. Is there an optimal solution that can't be split into axis-aligned grids?
2. How much deviance from the circle is needed at worst?

Question I pondered this weekend: What is the minimum perimeter of a convex hull covering n non-overlapping unit squares? It is clearly related to the problem of packing unit squares into a circle https://t.co/0E1gTA9YmH , but is a distinct enough problem to ask separately here.

내가 넥슨 재직 중일 때 노조에 가입하게 된 결정적인 계기는 제주도에 태풍이 몰아칠 때 거기 사옥이 있던 네오플이 직원들을 계속 출근하게 했다는 소식을 들은 것이었다. 하다 못해 다른 직종이면 모를까 넥슨 노조가 같은 직종 안에서의 연대조차 이렇게 생각한다면 매우 실망스러운 일이다.
