@chelsssseeeea Should the government have a camera in your house too? What if someone in your house breaks any law? Law enforcement needs to know immediately so that the criminal can be apprehended.
@BoujeeFinances@doug_romans You have to pay tax on that 11% return. Not paying interest is tax free return, so it's not as large of a spread as you make it out to be.
Also paying off mortgage reduces risk in the event of income loss. It's not just lower stress, it's materially lower risk.
@neerajjj6785 This is no different from working on any large piece of software. Lots of time is inevitability spent reading through old code to figure out what the last guy was thinking.
@ziggy3317@AboundingMyths@financedystop And if the buyer didn't have an agent, they could offer 3% less and it would make no difference to the seller. So you the buyer actually are paying for your own agent.
@dontplay_z They don't scale. 1 person can only bake so many loaves a day. Consumers won't pay $20/loave. Software can be sold basically unlimited times over.
@Reil76 It's a hoax in the sense that gov forces buying X instead of Y in the name of climate change when the impact will be negligent at best. All while ignoring things like pleasure air travel, where a single tank of gas in a 747 is more fuel than my car consumes over 10 lifetimes.
@amelia_tweetz What you think or feel about it is irrelevant. Go live in the woods and build your own shelter then. After a week you will be grateful to only spend a quarter of your waking hours to have other people take care of your shelter needs.
@icardo8 He doesn't have a trillion dollars. He owns assets, which through a naive pricing model, is valued at 1 trillion dollars. Those assets (companies) are new things that didn't exist before. Socialism on the other hand only takes existing assets and gives them to someone else.
@beyond_capital An owner takes on the risk that the thing built ends up being worth less than what was put in. Someone who just builds, with no ownership, gets paid regardless.
