My life strategy now:
- Get a high-income skill: programming, start working and save at least 50% of income if not more
- Get into above-average health & set up systems to keep getting healthier every year
Then with newfound energy & cash I'll accelerate skill-acquisition
@Helios_Movement magnesium chloride in water bottle sometimes
taurine, one small scoop a night for the past few days, irregularly on and off
glycine, used to take mini dose every night, now want more deep sleep instead of rem-maxing, hence the switch to taurine. Still taking a bit in morning
@visakanv Peak productivity imo
Wake up inspired, do one big task you love doing that's also meaningful or strategic, then goof off, smell the roses, spend time with cool people, go down rabbit holes
@visakanv Yeah with AI now there's going to be more tools to enter in/grasp/navigate someone's body of work
Brian Roemmele and others took some open source llm models on local file libraries (thousands of docs) then could talk with all their past thinking.
Beyond dialogue, can be search
@GRITCULT Yeah solid strategy, doing now, wish I'd heard it at 15
Instead I quit school, tried all sorts of things, no regret cause I learned a lot, but took me much longer to build work ethic, and I missed a bunch of school years or could have done electronics apprenticeship or something
Got a mini Nordic bench, Iβll post my first rep attempt here soon
I bet that everyone- even high school athletes- will be doing Nordic curls this decade and those who donβt will be left behind athletically
@limitlessbur Also it's basically full-body grounding and you're immersed in massive amounts of minerals, nothing refreshes my energy more than lake/ocean swims
Problem with self help is it puts the cart before the horse. Who you need to BE always secondary to what you want to DO. Self improvement is organic and inevitable when you have a fiery desire in your heart. You don't need a system, you need an outcome worth bleeding for
I described some of the most beautiful and famous mathematical theorems to Midjourney.
Here is how it imagined them:
1. "The set of real numbers is uncountably infinite."
@NgoloTesla hey, I'm reading tesla's autobiography, and seeing you are quite knowlegeable about him, can you point me towards any other literature about/from him that you suggest reading?
I don't understand much about electricity... Just lots of coding experience, want to build machines
I am learning about Inverted Polish Notation for a cpp exercise, interesting
I learned about polish notation when @Conaw was talking about Clojure
But ipn is another thing, I don't if it's more efficient but I like how it works
@BrianRoemmele@PhulusoGunyukun My advice, don't talk too much publicly, publish privately and let word of mouth spread it
Build stuff silently, paywall it, and let it be stolen' (50 cent mixtape marketing strategy), or do whatever you think is best, but not too much noise, would be sad if you get shutdown
