@Kookgi294Kookgi Do you realize how hard it must be for her to navigate in a space where both the west and her own people hate her for trying to love her culture? She is trying so hard but all she gets is hate from her people and racism from the rest.

[🫦 @seocvntea]

People keep saying she is larping for relevance but honestly what has representing her culture ever gotten her? Indians hate her for wearing anything Indian and the west gets a free pass to be racist to her cause she's proud to be one. She should quit loving a culture so unloved.

[Avani ꨄ︎ @sunavani_foreva]

Hot take that might get me jumped. Lara gets more hate than idols or actors who are actually racist to indians or offending indian culture.

[🫦 @seocvntea]

@Kookgi294Kookgi She loves her culture & represents it in different bits and pieces. She is a 20 year old girl. She can make mistakes. We have politicians & religious groups who claim to be protectors of the religion and still NOT know it correctly and yet they don't get 1% of the hate she gets.

@Sjmthinker Lara might be too much for Indians who stay in India. But she is a great role model for Indians who live in the west. They finally get to see representation in their american world. She is the 1st to do it so she's gonna make mistakes. Maybe be so butthurt about your politicians?

[🫦 @seocvntea]

@Sjmthinker Idk why, but most kpop stans, especially from the 2 biggest fandoms have a huge beef with Lara. I don't know if its because she's able to meet their idols while most of them can only imagine to do that, but their behavior is pretty dangerous to the culture they claim to protect+

[🫦 @seocvntea]

I don't like a couple of things she's worn in the past. But this girl is having her moment in pop culture and she uses every minute of it to promote our culture. Young south asian girls finally get an American popstar representing them but here comes gatekeepers of culture. Stfu.

[🫦 @seocvntea]

Yes. I agree she makes mistakes. Some of her clothes are 'tacky' but that's a very normal issue with NRIs. She's doesn't need to be an idol of perfection to use bits and pieces of her own damn culture.
