Amazing to see the strong presence from University Hospitals/CWRU at DDW 2026. From ASGE President Dr. Chak, course director of Dr. Faulx, to the incredible surgical leadership of Drs. Marks and Hardacre — such an impressive showcase of innovation, mentorship, and collaboration.
Tonight, our fellowship held an IBD journal club at Dr. Katz’s home. Excellent discussion on new data, study design, and clinical implications. Bonus: homemade kale salad, lasagna, cookies, and brownies. Grateful for the mentorship and community. #IBD#Gastroenterology#MedEd
Our multinational Asian PSC-IBD study has been published! Across 25 hospitals in 6 Asian countries, we evaluated >50,000 IBD patients:
PSC prevalence: 0.92% overall
UC: 1.4%
CD: 0.13%
👉 Lower than Western cohorts.

Great journal club tonight at Dr. Cooper’s house! Cycy joined us and tried her best to contribute (10/10 enthusiasm). We learned a lot from reviewing the articles, and nights like this show how strong our program’s collegiality really is. Thank you Dr. Cooper-best PD ever!
Truly grateful for the ASGE–JGES ESD seminar — reconnecting with former fellows, meeting mentors from Japan, and learning from Dr. Sano, the pioneer of the JNET classification.
7 hours of hands-on training and my very first ESD! 🇺🇸🇯🇵✨ #ESD#Endoscopy
