-Pap pics are 99,9% of the time staged
-GP sees 1% of a famous person’s real life
-The world is more open minded, true. The industry is still really homophobic and racist

There’s something that has always fascinated me.

It’s not the photos. It’s not the flowers. It’s not the kisses. It’s not even the carefully crafted romantic narratives that seem to appear over and over again.

It’s the timing.

Because whenever the conversation starts revolving around the music, whenever the shows begin speaking for themselves, whenever the lyrics reconnect dots that some people would rather keep disconnected, whenever audiences leave with more questions than answers and hearts beating a little too fast... suddenly the focus shifts.

And once again, we are brought back to the same place.

A girlfriend. A walk. A photo. A headline.

As if the art itself were not enough.
As if we constantly need to be reminded where we should look and where we shouldn't.

Maybe that's why these things no longer have the impact they once did.

After so many years, the pattern becomes predictable. The settings change, the names change, the faces change, but the feeling remains exactly the same.

Meanwhile, the music keeps saying far more interesting things.

Because campaigns last days. Photos last hours.
Headlines last minutes.

But songs survive for years.

And for some curious reason, there always seems to be far more effort put into explaining the girlfriends than explaining the songs.

To me, that's the most revealing part of all.
