@amazonIN Your customer service in India used to be exemplary, but over the last few months I have found that it has been going downhill. It is now so hard to find the way to even contact CS and impossible to talk to someone. Pl fix !!
I’ve joined Cognition to continue to work on the future of software engineering.
I was employee #2 at Windsurf and have worked on AI+code for years. There’s never been a more exciting time and place for it than now at Cognition.
I had a place at Google DeepMind as part of the deal. I won’t go into detail for legal reasons, but I’d like to be transparent about my personal situation.
I was given an offer that would explode same day. I had to forfeit all of my vested shares earned over my 3.5+ years at Windsurf. I was ultimately given a payout of only 1% of what my shares would have been worth at the time of the deal.
In going to Cognition, I’ve chosen a different direction.
For someone who loves software engineering, Cognition feels like home. It reminds me of the energy of the earliest days of Windsurf, where we wrote excessive amounts of code and had excessive amounts of fun.
Really excited to see how we can take the best of Devin and Windsurf to make the world’s best IDE and coding agents.
India is a nation with an unlimited pool of human talent, combined with the freedom to explore and develop it. The future is bright not only in chess. The summit has been reached and now the goal must be to raise it even higher for the next ascent. Congratulations again. Upward!

Introducing 100K Context Windows! We’ve expanded Claude’s context window to 100,000 tokens of text, corresponding to around 75K words. Submit hundreds of pages of materials for Claude to digest and analyze. Conversations with Claude can go on for hours or days.
Overall, I really like Claude. Looking forward to trying out the new release. Cant wait to see when @AnthropicAI adds some more math capabilities in there.
chatting with @AnthropicAI in Slack & found it verbose by default. Instructed it to limit to under 50 words. It said ok, but promptly proceeded to give a 150 word response to my next question. Asked it for how long the response was, it said 49!
Then I informed Claude that it was actually 150 and not 49, and it said sorry and that it won't repeat the mistake.. except that the apology itself was well over 50 words.
