@burgessdave Teach Like A PIRATE is an inspiring book! I learned to immerse myself in the classroom and with my students, and to include my passions in the classroom! I will take ALL these ideas and use them in my future classroom. #eled360@drnashscience@DSUteach
This is a great resource for using math manipulatives online in the classroom. I think this would be a great way to have students use manipulatives if they are doing online work, or if they aren’t available in the classroom. @kevinsmithsd#dsumath
I came across this poster and think it’s fantastic! Math talk doesn’t always have to be verbal. Instead, students and teachers can initiate math talk through hand signals and cues! A great math talk move!

Great teaching always gets students attention before starting a new lesson! We want our students to be engaged and lesson starters will do that! @kevinsmithsd#dsumath
I like how the students came up with more patterns than the teacher anticipated! This is a great way for students to explain their thinking and how they found another pattern. #mathtalk@kevinsmithsd#dsumath
