@thekitze My solar panels generate enough energy for my 3 level home and my car. I don’t pay for electricity anymore. Including, heating and airco. You might laugh but this is reality.
@simonbrown Non-technical people shipping production code is like non-engineers build a bridge. We have seen this before when organizations have shadow IT. It is a recipe for disaster
@mcuban Spot on. I have similar cases. In realmlife, there are multiple ways of doing things but for certain aituations you need to know how to adjust it.
@simonbrown It is amazing that people rediscovers the software delivery problems Code generation was never a problem. But deliver what was done by ensuring reliability and stability of systems.
@Grady_Booch@EdmilsomCarlos@unclebobmartin@wookash_podcast@KentBeck There are aspects that only engineers who have domain knowledge can make a good judgement. It is not always passing tests, checking code metrics. I like to see both perspectives Bob and you brought in.
@Grady_Booch Dead code is not a new problem but the amount of dead code generated by AI has been accelerated. People who thinks we don't need emgineers is delusional.
