Meet the Operations Team in the Global Ops Center in Bastrop, TX!
Today, the team is remotely controlling machines in Vegas (tunneling), Nashville (tunneling), and San Antonio (commissioning; not yet tunneling).
Thanks for the shout out @SERobinsonJr

SPACEX: Sensationalist Democrat Robert Reich, who served as U.S. Secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton, said on the Coffee Klatch podcast that Democrats should "defund Musk" and begin "laying the groundwork for nationalizing Starlink and SpaceX."
He argued that the companies should be treated as public corporations because of their government contracts and Elon Musk's influence.
No one has publicly supported his comments. But if he said it, then there is a high probability that he was told to say it, and Dems are testing the waters to see if it catches on.
Per Elon, "Stealing companies is a serious crime. Prison for Reich."

SPACEX: SpaceX is reportedly pursuing a deal for +4,000 acres of land owned by the Vermilion Parish School District north of LA 82 near White Lake.
The property consists of six parcels of Section 16 land, which is state-designated for public education use.
Because Section 16 land cannot be sold without legislative approval, the plan is a land swap after an appraisal.
The above map is my best guess location based on the given info. The property is above the former Pecan Island School leased to SpaceX.
It actually shows to be owned by the Industrial Development Board of the Parish of Vermilion. They also own all the property up to the Schooner Bayou Canal to the north and eastward to Hwy 82 as it runs northward.
Vermilion Parish Schools Superintendent Tommy Byler said the spaceport changes the value of the property and raises the possibility of exchanging it for something more financially beneficial to the schools.
Negotiations can begin once the appraisal is complete.

BORING NEWS: Recent design documents shows The Boring Company's Music City Loop station for Nashville International Airport (BNA) at the current taxi and limousine pickup area on the ground floor, roughly 22 feet from the terminal front door.
The station will connect via a short above-ground stretch on Airport Service Road after tunnels emerge near Donelson Pike.
As previously reported, the Metro Nashville Airport Authority approved a 40-year, $34 million licensing deal in back in February that includes an annual fee starting at $300,000 and a $5 per pickup/drop-off charge.
As far as I know, The Boring Company has not yet signed the final contract. Station design and permitting remain underway.

TESLA: SPIE Nederland, the Dutch unit of the European multi-technical services company SPIE, has developed a standardized high-voltage substation that is flexible and relatively quick to build for private-sector energy projects.
The company is applying this to Project Mufasa in the North Sea Port of Vlissingen, Netherlands, developed by Lion Storage with Tesla who is supplying 372 Megapacks.
The facility will provide 1,400 MWh of storage and 350 MW of power output—enough for roughly 200,000 households. It is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.

TERAFAB: Chris Gober, former director and chief lawyer for Elon Musk's America PAC, is the Republican nominee for Texas’s open 10th Congressional District.
This district includes Terafab in Grimes County and The Boring Company offices in Pflugerville.
His Democratic opponent is U.S. Army veteran and former Dell Technologies employee, Caitlin Rourk.
The general election is November 3rd.

This is an extremely promising result from Neuralink:
Early data from their VOICE speech restoration study shows a participant achieving 75 words per minute (WPM) on a 125,000 word vocabulary.
For comparison, the average adult US citizen talks at around 150 WPM on a 40,000 word vocabulary.
With future trial participants, Neuralink will leverage their scale to get more data about how the brain produces speech.
In turn, this will improve this result enough to surpass able-bodied humans! Consider how meaningful this is- if Neuralink patients can output information from their brain faster than non-Neuralinked patients, they'll have a huge technology advantage.
But they also mention a 5.8% word error rate (WER). This is an error every ~17 words. I asked Grok to give us a sense of how good/ bad this is:
"In practical terms:
- Under ~5–6% is generally considered excellent / high-quality performance (comparable to strong modern automatic speech recognition systems on clean audio).
- It is highly usable for communication—listeners or readers can usually follow the meaning with only occasional corrections.
- On a large 125k-word vocabulary this is especially notable, as bigger vocabularies normally make accuracy harder."
More information about the study can be found in this thread:
