@mdf200@kilianhekhuis@LinuxJedi With the C64 core, a SuperCPU might well work on the #MEGA65. I can't think of a reason why not, apart perhaps from the SuperCPU having trouble physically fitting if it hangs over the left side of the port, where the MEGA65's power jack goes.
@stationmum101 Poor guy. Hope he's doing fine. Roos are such random 40kg lumps of self-accelerating muscle when it comes to roads. I believe the self-driving car stuff still has no way to reasonably predict their motion, unlike almost other road-side animals.
Update: It works!!!
We’re able to see a 2mm wide plastic ball at 30 centimeters, with only 1/1300th of our planned transmitting power.
This validates our SNR budget and gets us closer to our final goal: tracking and killing mosquitoes at a 3meters range
@stationmum101 Makes sense. I wonder how hard it would be to modify a cardboard box to automatically shut... no cat can resist jumping in one on sight ;)
@jaseinblack@MEGA65Retro close ;) Except it's a land-line. Someone I know needs a simple to use "land-line" phone, but everything you can buy for that is pretty crusty based on our collective experience. In other words, we need a retro phone :)
@Asher_Wolf@skdh ... it should also be said that much of the problem here is lack of education and quality of education, which means that people aren't equipped for processing complicated information.
@Asher_Wolf actually large portions of most populations struggle with "complicated information". This is also why flat earthers abound. You are 100% right that simple messaging is required to combat this. See https://t.co/RZGS2UFhzH for @skdh's great discussion on this. Vital reading.
@stationmum101 It's how you know cost of living is biting: Even the kangaroos are skipping the cost of a premium paint job and opting for "boring white" instead ;)
@NibblePibbly@StevenCombs Yes, there is still something about datasette loading (when you don't have to do it that way ;). I also want to experiment to see how much data I can cram on a tape with the faster CPU.
