Three things happened in my family over the past week.

My father (N. R. Narayana Murthy) received his 40th honorary doctorate, from the University of York. My mother (@SmtSudhaMurty) received her 24th, from IIT Dharwad. And my uncle, Shri Kulkarni (my mother's brother), was awarded the Royal Astronomical Society's Gold Medal in Astronomy.

The Gold Medal has been given since 1824, when Charles Babbage received the first one. It has since gone to Einstein, to Hubble, to Hawking, and to Chandrasekhar, who until now was the only Indian to have received it.

Forty, twenty-four, and a medal two centuries old. My contribution was the photographs.

Congratulations to all three. Still the best teachers I've had.

Deeply appreciate the positive action of Shri @RameshOffcl Minister for @tnhrcedept in carrying out an investigation on a complaint lodged by Arappor Iyakkam.

The complaint was about fraudulent registration of properties worth Rs. 60 Crores belonging to Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Madurai.
As an initial action FIRs have filed against 19 persons said to be involved in the fraudulent property registration -

Soon the lands should be restored to the temple and it should be further ensured that due fair rent is realized from them every year to be used for the purposes of this Saivite Denominational Temple.

Whenever Thiru Kumaragurubaran IAS @kgbias is in the helm of the affairs of Hindu Temples and Religious Endowments, you can expect him to regularly violate the law.

When he was the Commissioner of @tnhrcedept in 2021 and 2022, he violated quite a few provisions of the HR&CE Act and Rules to please the DMK Government. Violations relating to Temple Surplus Funds, Temple Properties, renovation of ancient temples, purchase of Luxury Innova cars using Temple funds etc. etc.

Now he has again violated the TN HR&CE Act by appointing two IAS officials as Additional Commissioners in the @tnhrcedept

Shri @RameshOffcl did Kumaragurubaran tell you that IAS cadre persons cannot be appointed as Additional Commissioners in the HR&CE Department ? I am quite positive he would not have. If he had, you would not have allowed this brazen illegality.

Continuing Kumaragurubaran in HR&CE matters is continuing DMK Rule in Temple matters.

🫵 He describes himself as an “independent journalist,” has received grants from organisations including the US-based Pulitzer Center and others.

🫵Photographs and claims concerning the extraordinarily expensive South Delhi home from which this cockroach operates are also circulating publicly.

Which foreign organisations are lending support to him?

Many thanks for your involved advice. First, I think differently from the organisations you had mentioned. They may be doing very good work in the society but I am for upkeep of our our ancient temples and their pristine traditions.

I find the reason for the poor state of our temples to be fraudulent control by the continuing State Governments - They are opposed to our temple traditions and not at all loyal to the Devathas in the Temples.

I shall try to correct it in my own humble way. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

You would prefer Sir. You would also prefer the temple donating ₹1.00 crore per month to the secular school. But there is a TN HR&CE Act and what the misfits in
@tnhrcedept are now trying to do is not only in violation of Temple Dharma but also in violation of the provisions of the Act.
Another thing: The @tnhrcedept is administering Sri Arunachaleswarar temple by FRAUD from 13.12.1951. Can the authorities in the Department show a legally valid order by which an Executive Officer is functioning in the temple? It is but natural that FRAUDS will only violate Dharma and the law of the land.

My open request to Shri @RameshOffcl

- Please ask @tnhrcedept to show an order by which the Executive Officer is functioning in the temple and publish the copy in the Department’s website - they will not - they cannot - There is NO such order.

Shri @RameshOffcl - as a member of a Government promising complete transparency and accountability - If the Commissioner is not able to show a legally valid order of appointment (not a transfer or posting order) of Executive Officer to this temple - you should ask @tnhrcedept to GET OUT of this temple.
