@TSLAshareholder I have to say though – I’m currently invested in approximately 30 stocks and Tesla is the easiest hold right now. They are one of the few companies that are actually innovating. My average share is $300. So I’m quite a bit higher than the long time hodlers.
@BeardoTrader Now is not the time to buy. If we are certain a pullback is imminent (potentially in days to weeks)- why chase stocks like AMD at their top? Sit back and wait for a discount.
@dmeinvestor@TheLongInvest Makes up 7% of the port. I don’t even check it day-to-day. This is a major long for me. I don’t even have a stop loss on it. Boom or Bust!
@FinSourceco I started buying gold at $1200 an ounce and I haven’t stopped. When you’re confident in the inevitability of it being well in excess of $10,000 – it’s an easy purchase at any price from the last five years. Obviously I’m long. I don’t swing trade it.
The biggest problem is that the retail Tesla investor’s came in at different prices. Sure – if you came in at $30, you are still up huge. But a lot of people piled in around $400 because of Elon‘s promises. The timeline is taking much longer than Elon has suggested in the last 18 months. I made close to 100% on my initial investment and sold most of my shares at $480.
It isn’t so much that Tesla investors are whiners – it’s more so that depending on your entry point – you could’ve missed out on many other ridiculous gains in other stocks in the last year.
@TopherGotWifi Robotaxi is good for everyone. Except, of course, other ride-sharing enterprises.
Lower prices and ultimately better access to rides. It could eventually eliminate the need to own a car in many cities.
@Freedom_By_40 I also distract myself by watching cool car reviews, car vs car drag races etc. on YouTube. I found that with the hiked incline and lower speeds- I’m actually able to focus on the segment. And thus time goes by faster!
@daltonbrewer At this point, it’s either lying or complete disconnect from the project. I’m not sure which one is worse. Elon has been focusing all of his attention on politics and SpaceX. Tesla is definitely not a priority for him.
@daltonbrewer I sold almost all of my Tesla stock at $480 because I stopped believing in the promises. I’ve bought back some of it – but we are still six months out from true robotaxi autonomy. At this rate – we might see $320. And I will be a buyer at those prices.
@yxinsights ASTS is much like many of the pre-revenue speculative names out there. It could have a market cap of $300B in 5 years – or it could be $0. Time will tell.
