@david_germer Incentives are always a nice kicker to make work enjoyable. Tight labor force seems to reward productive employees #mavorg

Looking forward to taking principles learned in Organizational Behavior and applying them to the work place. #mavorg

Yet another example of poor ethical judgement by an executive. Too often they forget that poor managerial decisions have consequences to their employees #mavorg

New program at work is attempting to drive innovation. Setting aside two days where work is put on hold, and will instead work in small groups to come up with new ideas to improve work processes. #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

@JustinShellyUNO I like the notion to create a questioning attitude towards work practices. Sometimes people get used to the routine and fail to seek out ways to improve the process #mavorg

Good to see companies start rewarding executives on customer service/satisfaction not simply a base payment package #mavorg

@JustinShellyUNO Peer to peer resolution I think is a key building block to having an effective team. If you aren't comfortable discussing issues with your team it's going to be hard to trust them and be as productive as you can be #mavorg

I am very impressed with managment in this situation. They took a bad situation, and found a way to learn something from it. While not a good situation, they found a way to be proactive and hopefully prevent this from happening again #mavorg

@Sean_CulverMBA @Forbes It's always impressive to see people in position of authority exert proper judgement especially in the face of adversity. It's easy to say one would act this way but it's another to actually do it. #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

Being able to provide financial rewards to coworkers is a nice perk we get at work. It allows us to provide a peer to peer reward which often has more weight than one given by management. Allows for strong team work #mavorg

Just goes to show perception is reality. Doesn't matter what actually happened, if you are perceived to be fired for a mis-deed that is hard to recover from #mavorg

Our managers spend a lot of time training on interpersonal skills. They do quarterly team building exercises with their direct reports. This helps build a more cohesive team, as well as built trust among the reports. #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

@JustinShellyUNO Couldn't agree more. Managers that gain trust of their employees are more likely to get more out of them. Without trusting you management, you will never be able to buy into any company decision #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

Interesting read on upper level management politics. Interesting question though: can you trust a CEO who gets appointed through a coup? #mavorg

Organizations that actually put their employees first, instead of simply stating it, will continue to rise above the rest. I currently work for a company that provides substantial time off for new moms, and even time off for dads. Paid It's awesome #mavorg

Yet another example of ethical/legal violations from upper management. Makes you wonder at what point managers start to think this type of behavior is ok #mavorg

@JustinShellyUNO Cohesive organizations are suck a pleasure to work for, especially after working for one that doesn't have that dynamic. Good team chemistry is the prelude to an excellent end product #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

@uno_schmidt Flex time is the best. Not only does it help with productivity, I feel it helps overall employee well being by allowing them to maintain a good work-life balance. I know wife is as appreciative of flex time as I am #mavorg

[Seth Nickel @SethN_UNOMBA]

@JaredMag_UNO I also view this as a way that your manager shows he listens to you, and is interested in your success. It's nice to have a manager who shows they care and are invested in your career development #mavorg

New policy rolled out at work with no notice, and no training on new expectations. No being received well. Disappointed in management not foreseeing the level of discontent this has created. Moral killer #mavorg
