Missionary work is soaring to new heights. We are days away from the opening of 55 new missions. This brings the total number of missions to 506. There is a total of over 87,000 full-time missionaries. And we are currently being reinforced by the first wave of 18-year-old sisters beginning their service.
In coming weeks, we will have the largest number of full-time missionaries in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
These missionaries’ first responsibility is to testify of Jesus Christ to a world that suffers without knowledge of His divine mission. They invite people across the globe to become part of His true and living Church.
I affirm my testimony of Jesus Christ and the truth of His gospel. The Holy Ghost has given me a witness of its truthfulness, and I rejoice that I can spend my life in proclaiming it.
A thought in regards to recent chatter about the Constitution hanging by a thread in the Last Days, and the Saints stepping forth to save it…
Could not the unified fast on July 5th be one way the Constitution is "saved" by members of the Church? I imagine that millions of Saints fasting and praying together for religious liberty could bring about both spiritual power and constitutional protection on a scale never before seen.
George Q. Cannon wrote: "The greatest events that have been spoken of by the holy prophets will come along so naturally as the consequence of certain causes, that unless our eyes are enlightened by the Spirit of God, and the spirit of revelation rests upon us, we will fail to see that these are the events predicted by the holy prophets."
Perhaps the saving of the Constitution may unfold in ways we do not immediately recognize.
@gboatman12 A great temple. My parents are from St. George. They actually just started as senior missionaries giving tours at the Joseph Smith Birthplace. I see you're a regional manager for Church historic sites—you'll probably meet them if you visit within the next year. Cheers!
You can just do things. Even if you have no idea how. Especially if you have a spiritual confirmation.
I’ve been working on the scariest thing I’ve ever done. And I’m exhausted, but i think that God is blessing me to keep going.
