@GovTimWalz you know who else is testing positive for Covid? The restaurant industry that is bafflingly still being forced to work. Support workers until their work places are safer. Care about worker safety.
The fact that Biden has the power to provide student debt relief to millions, had to be forced into extending the eviction moratorium,& has yet to aggressively campaign against the filibuster shows us he has more power than he’s using.
It’s time to take off the gloves & govern.
To our health care workers: Thank you for all your hard work to get millions of Minnesotans vaccinated over the last year. We appreciate your tireless work to fight the pandemic.
Additionally, we should forgive a minimum of $10,000/person of federal student loans, as proposed by Senator Warren and colleagues. Young people and other student debt holders bore the brunt of the last crisis. It shouldn't happen again.
Just realized I didn’t go to Kansas City the whole calendar year of 2020, so that’s the first year of my life I didn’t at least visit my hometown. Vaxxed, homesick, and ready to go in 2021
Why do @MayorFrey, @GovTimWalz, & the Cnty have public funds to house NG & out-of-state cops in hotels, but they won't house unhoused residents in encampments that freeze -20? Why not build more public housing for low-income residents?
Defund the police & fund public housing.
Yeah, we know the hardest work is ahead. But today, we must embody this joy and this complicated win. We gotta create the muscle memory of happiness, so that we can recall it in the days to come. Seek connection. Choose each other. Choose love.
Guilty on all counts is the correct verdict. Chauvin is only one man, we have so so so much work to do, so much change is needed to bring about actual peace and justice to those who have been denied it for so long.

This tweet goes out to the older white lady at the bank today: the protests were never just about one trial. Why are you surprised when nothing about our police system has changed in a year? Stop complaining about property and start mourning lives lost.
Stop asking your citizens for peace when you are the force bringing the violence. Stop killing Black boys and women and men and girls and stop allowing murder at the hands of cops.
