NC are proposing a bill to ban masks (including medical masks) in public settings. This is not only discriminatory - it’s dangerous. It’s removing the LAST tool we have to protect against COVID.

It also sets dangerous precedent & fuels damaging narratives about COVID. 🧵/1

It is absolutely not this teacher's fault since my district requires our full government name as our display name in email. But whenever anyone calls me by my full government first name, it absolutely makes me want to not respond to them.

We are letting a disabling virus rip through the country on purpose.

It is killing and disabling people every day. Becoming severely disabled WILL isolate you by default and wreck relationships.

I’ve seen the eye doctor yearly since I was 7-years-old—I had no issues beyond nearsightedness. I’ve had Covid twice since 2020, & now I have Meibomian gland dysfunction & optic neuritis. A family member now has myriad eye complications. Friends have new eye diagnoses. Thread:

@grumpwitch I love the Body Shop's hemp lotion (which doesn't have a super strong smell) or ShiKai's dry skin cream with borage oil. I've also found putting bottles of lotion next to sinks (wherever possible) help me remember to lotion up after washing my hands.
